In City Folk, the process is similar to Wild World. To visit another player’s town, the player must have them added to the player's Friend Roster, and the player they are visiting must also have them added to theirs. To actually receive the code, the player must already be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi. They must then select “Friend Code!” and Copper will assign the player with a unique friend code. In Wild World, to obtain their friend code, the player must visit the town gate and talking to Copper. Apps like Houseparty, Zoom, FaceTime and Hangouts will let you talk face-to-face and give virtual tours of your island without hitting any character limits or awkward pauses as you wait for each other to type.Obtaining Friend Codes In Wild World If you really want to feel like you’re visiting each other, you might want to consider setting up a video call at the same time. You can also message your best friends through the Nook Phone, but be aware the feature will also give them permission to mess with your island. That said, it’s worth adding friends to your Best Friend list if you want to know when they’re online to time visits effectively. You won’t be able to access multiplayer on your first day in the game but the option is available 24/7 from day 2.
